How do I create a brain?
Sign up at altbrain.io, claim your handle, and create a new brain. See our docs for a step-by-step guide.
Is my content safe?
Yes. Your data is stored in the EU with encryption, Row Level Security, and no third-party tracking. See our security page for technical details.
Can I delete my brain?
Yes, anytime. You can delete individual items, entire brains, or your complete account. Deletion is permanent.
What does MCP mean?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol — an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external data sources. It’s how your brain becomes queryable by Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other tools.
How do I connect someone else’s brain to my AI?
Visit the brain’s profile page and click “Connect to your AI.” You’ll see instructions for your specific AI tool.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 1 public brain, your own handle, text/document uploads, and a shareable MCP link. No credit card required.
